An opportunity has arisen for an experienced risk, regulatory, audit, legal or financial services professional to join a specialist supervision team focused on overseeing complex, high-risk and emerging issues across the financial services sector.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems and influencing outcomes in highly regulated environments. You will work directly with senior leaders, lead supervisory engagements and help drive meaningful change that protects consumers and strengthens market outcomes.


The Opportunity


As a Senior Adviser, you will lead tailored supervision activities involving organisations requiring enhanced oversight due to their complexity, risk profile or novel business activities.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Developing and leading entity-specific supervision plans
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of complex operational, conduct and compliance issues
  • Identifying key risks and recommending practical regulatory or supervisory responses
  • Engaging directly with executive and senior leadership teams to communicate expectations and influence change
  • Monitoring remediation activities and assessing progress against agreed outcomes
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver coordinated responses to emerging risks
  • Preparing high-quality reporting and providing insights on key issues, trends and risks


About You


You will be a confident and commercially minded professional with strong judgement and the ability to operate effectively in complex and evolving environments.


To be successful, you will ideally bring:


  • Experience gained within financial services, regulation, risk management, compliance, internal audit, legal or professional services environments
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to assess large volumes of complex information
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability
  • Experience communicating with senior leaders and influencing decisions
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative, outcomes-focused approach
