Mō te tūranga | About the Role


This is a fixed term contract up to 12 months.


  • As the Configuration Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining accurate, current and reliable information in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring it remains fit for operational use.
  • You will be working within the Service Visibility Squad, this role helps maintain ServiceNow’s IT Operations Management (ITOM), CMDB, Service Mapping and Discovery capabilities. Together, these provide end-to-end visibility of technology services, environments and their interdependencies, enabling teams to identify and resolve issues earlier, reduce operational risk, minimise unplanned disruption and make better-informed decisions.
  • The role delivers day-to-day CMDB administration and maintenance, including updating configuration item (CI) and service information, investigating data quality issues, fulfilling service requests and completing regular health checks.


Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • At least one year’s experience in a Service Management role, such as Technical Change Management, Problem Management or Service Desk; an Engineering role involving Service Management processes; or a Project Administration or Project Coordination role.
  • Experience working in a large or complex enterprise environment.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience using ServiceNow
  • Experience in ITIL and Configuration Management or Asset Management
  • Experience of agile methodologies and best practice
