Job Description

Be the go-to technical expert for a premium HVAC brand + market leading brand + friendly experienced team.

  • Work with VRF, heat pump and air to water systems from a leading global brand
  • Company vehicle, phone, laptop and flexible working
  • Mix of field work, technical support and training others

The role

My client is one of the leading suppliers of premium residential and commercial air conditioning and heat pump systems, and one of the most awarded brands in the industry.

As a Technical Service Engineer, you’ll be the expert behind the brand. When a problem is tricky, recurring or high stakes, it lands with you. You’ll diagnose faults, commission VRF systems, support service agents and help keep customers happy when things haven’t gone to plan. It’s a varied role with a good balance of time on site, technical support and passing your knowledge on to others.

What you’ll be doing

  • Diagnosing technical issues and spotting recurring failures before they become bigger problems
  • Commissioning VRF and QTON systems on site and writing up the reports
  • Helping service agents with fault finding, spare parts and commissioning by phone, email and site visits
  • Assessing warranty claims and working with the warranty team to resolve them fairly
  • Running training sessions for service agents on fault finding, installation and commissioning
  • Demonstrating control systems to end users and contractors
  • Supporting the sales team with technical information when needed

What you’ll bring

  • A trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning
  • Refrigerant handling certification
  • Solid HVAC experience, ideally in a service or technical support role
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills, plus experience managing commissioning work
  • The ability to stay calm and fair with frustrated customers
  • Clear communication and good time management
  • A full, clean driver’s licence and a passport for occasional international travel

What’s in it for you

  • Company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop and uniform
  • Flexible working with a mix of home, office and on-site
  • The chance to work at the technical top end of a premium global brand
