About the Role


Quashed.co.nz saves Kiwis from overpaying and the frustrations of insurance. We make it easy to compare and shop for insurance in one place, all online.


We're looking for a creative and responsible Short-Form Video Content Creator to join us over the summer. Working directly alongside our team, your sole focus will be planning, scripting, filming, and editing high-performing short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook) that engage, educate, and entertain Everyday Kiwis.


If you live on social media, know what makes people stop scrolling, and can turn complex topics like money and insurance into engaging, digestible content — this is your playground.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop novel ideas on how we could engage Kiwi consumers online
  • Turn ideas into engaging short form videos for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook
  • Turn insurance and finance topics into relatable, entertaining, and easy to understand content


Requirements


  • Social native with good knowledge of TikTok and Reels trends, hooks, and algorithms
  • Confident behind and in front of the camera and skilled in video editing
  • Strong storytelling ability with a knack for making dry topics fun
