Job Description

At The Mayfair, we bring boutique luxury to life in the heart of Christchurch. The Majestic at Mayfair is now looking for part-time Food and Beverage Attendant who are passionate about all-things-coffee just as much as we are!


As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you’ll be a key part of creating memorable experiences across our service offering outlets. Whether it’s seating guests, recommending dishes, serving meals or preparing room service, you’ll bring energy, professionalism and attention to detail to every shift.


Key responsibilities:


  • Taking orders, upselling, and delivering food & beverages
  • Understanding and catering to dietary and cultural needs
  • Setting and resetting tables, replenishing buffets, and maintaining cleanliness
  • Assisting with room service and POS transactions
  • Following food safety and health & safety procedures
  • Providing genuine, friendly service that makes our guests feel at home
  • This is a hands-on, guest-facing role that offers variety, a fast pace, and the opportunity to contribute to a tight-knit team.


What we're looking for:


  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Can communicate clearly and professionally
  • Proactive, reliable and takes initiative
  • Works well in a team and stays calm under pressure
  • Flexible with AM and PM hours (including weekends and public holidays)
  • Ideally has hospitality experience
  • Barista skills, POS knowledge and food & beverage experience will be advantageous

This role is offering minimum 10 hours per week and an hourly wage rate between $25.50 to $27.50, depending on experience.
