As EY continues to grow our Auckland team, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our well-regarded Corporate Tax team.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with a broad range of clients, build your technical expertise and develop trusted relationships while working alongside experienced tax professionals across New Zealand and the wider EY network.

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week.

Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be a key member of our Corporate Tax team, working closely with senior leaders and colleagues locally and across the Oceania region. You’ll deliver quality outcomes for clients while continuing to grow your technical, commercial and relationship skills. You will:

  • Deliver corporate tax advisory and compliance services across a diverse range of clients
  • Work with some of New Zealand’s largest businesses, including NZX-listed and private equity-owned companies, as well as global businesses through the EY network
  • Build strong client relationships and provide practical, commercially focused tax advice
  • Support and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive team culture

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring solid corporate tax experience, curiosity and a collaborative approach. You’ll be comfortable taking ownership of your work while knowing when to draw on the experience of those around you.

  • Experience in corporate tax within a professional services or large corporate environment
  • Technical knowledge with the ability to turn complex tax matters into clear, practical advice
  • Communication skills and confidence building relationships with clients and colleagues
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality work
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the development of others

We have 1 Senior Consultant positions available. The salary range for this role is expected to be $42.56 NZD per hour to $51.28 NZD per hour dependent on skills and experience. This full-time role is for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
