Robert Walters is proud to be partnering with Centrix to find a talented Compliance Manager and Privacy Officer for this part-time (25 hours per week) opportunity based in Ellerslie, Auckland. This hands-on role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act and Credit Reporting Privacy Code (CRPC) while supporting innovation and managing privacy-related issues in a growing New Zealand-owned company dedicated to empowering financial wellbeing.

The Role:


We are seeking a Compliance Manager and Privacy Officer in a hands-on role that ensures Centrix maintains compliance with the Privacy Act, Credit Reporting Privacy Code (CRPC), and other regulatory obligations across the business. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a key role in monitoring compliance frameworks, managing privacy-related issues, and supporting innovation while mitigating risks.


This position works closely with Centrix’s Helpdesk team who handle consumer inquiries about data corrections and access requests, as well as with the Legal Team on escalated issues and complaints.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to the CRPC, Privacy Act, and other applicable legislation.
  • Manage privacy information requests and complaints as the designated Privacy Officer.
  • Provide compliance input for new products/services from concept to launch.
  • Lead annual assurance reporting for regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Justice (MOJ).
  • Build relationships with regulators like the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
  • Review existing systems/processes and recommend improvements.
