At New Shoots, we know that great relief teachers are more than just an extra pair of hand, they're an essential part of creating consistency, warmth, and meaningful learning experiences for our tamariki.


We're looking for qualified and registered Early Childhood Teachers to join our relief team, supporting our welcoming centres in Ramarama and Pakuranga.

Whether you're looking for a few days each week or more regular relief work, we'd love to hear from passionate educators who enjoy building relationships, adapting quickly, and making everyday count.


What you'll bring


  • A New Zealand recognised ECE qualification.
  • Current New Zealand Teaching Council registration and a current practising certificate.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • The confidence to step into different environments and build positive relationships quickly.
  • A collaborative, reliable, and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
