About the Business


We are looking for a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team in Taihape, Manawatū-

Whanganui Region. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant food scene and

showcase your culinary expertise in a hands-on, on-site role. The successful applicant will be

responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and working

closely with the kitchen team to deliver an excellent dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

 Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes according to the menu.

 Plan menus and develop new recipes in consultation with management.

 Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control.

 Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.

 Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff when required.

 Order, monitor, and control stock levels to minimise waste.

 Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety

requirements.

 Maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation.

 Assist with rostering and training junior kitchen staff where required.

Skills and Experience

 3 years of relevant work experience or a relevant Level 4 qualification

 Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.

 Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 Excellent organisational and time management skills.

 Good communication and teamwork skills.

 A commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards.
