Job Title: Tutor / Senior Tutor in Public Health

Department: School of Health Sciences (SHS)

Location: Manawatū campus, Palmerston North

The School of Health Sciences invites applications for the position of Tutor / Senior Tutor in

Public Health. This is an ongoing full-time position.


Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

In this role you will undertake and coordinate undergraduate core courses and teach using a variety of modes of delivery mediums including through electronic and online technologies. Key attributes for this position include knowledge and expertise in area pf social determinants, public health, health and communities, and excellent course administrative and student engagement skills.


Ko koe tēnei | About you

Applicants for Tutor / Senior Tutor are expected to:

  • Have postgraduate qualification in Public Health or related discipline
  • Have teaching experience in online, internal, blended and distance teaching delivery
  • Teach courses in Bachelor of Health Science
  • Have teaching experience in internal, online, distance content design and delivery
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and self-management skills


This position falls within a Tutor / Senior Tutor salary range. The agreed salary will

consider the candidate’s qualifications and experience.


Salary Range:

Tutor - $66,299 - $87,116

Senior Tutor - $86,116 - $100,987
