ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for delivering complex network and security projects, implementing leading-edge technologies, and providing senior technical expertise across customer environments. Working closely with Solution Architects, you will be responsible for translating high-level solution designs into successful outcomes for clients.


This role offers a clear pathway into Solution Architecture for someone looking to expand their design, advisory and leadership capability, while continuing to develop deep technical expertise.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deploy, configure and support enterprise network and network security solutions across customer environments.
  • Execute project delivery activities, ensuring solutions are implemented to design specifications and operational standards.
  • Provide high-level technical expertise across networking, security and related technologies.
  • Support Solution Architects with technical design validation, solution documentation and proposal development.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, faults and changes.
  • Implement and enhance automation, scripting and operational tooling to improve service delivery efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and knowledge assets.
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional project outcomes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical best practice across the engineering function.


ABOUT YOU:

We are seeking a technically strong engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering high-quality outcomes for customers. You'll thrive in a professional services environment, can operate independently, and are eager to continue developing your architecture and consulting skills.


To be successful, you'll also bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in enterprise IT, managed services or professional services environments focused on networking and security.
  • Proven technical expertise across enterprise networking and network security technologies.
  • Experience implementing and supporting complex customer environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical capability.
  • Experience working with operational tooling and IT service management platform
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience operating within a Professional Services team.
  • Exposure to solution design and technical leadership activities would be highly regarded.


Desirable certifications include:

  • Cisco CCNP
  • Juniper JNCIP
  • Fortinet NSE4+
  • Check Point CCSA/CCSE
  • Meraki CMNA/CMNO
  • Aruba, Cloudflare, Netskope or Cato certifications
