Queenstown based | Nationwide roles | $65,000 base + uncapped commission

Remarkable People is looking for an ambitious, driven Permanent Recruitment Consultant to join our Queenstown office, placing people into permanent roles across New Zealand.


As our Permanent Recruitment Consultant, you’ll build your own client relationships, win new business and manage recruitment from the first conversation through to a successful placement. With commission from your first placement and uncapped earning potential, your results will directly reward your effort.


  • The role Drive your own business development, identifying opportunities and winning clients across the country.
  • Build lasting relationships with employers and understand who they need in their teams.
  • Source, interview and match candidates with permanent opportunities.
  • Manage multiple vacancies, clients and candidates at once, keeping things moving and following through.
  • Take ownership of your desk, pipeline and sales results.

What you’ll bring Sales experience is essential. You know how to open doors, build trust, ask for the business and close a deal.


You’ll also need:

  • The ability to self-manage, prioritise and deliver without someone looking over your shoulder.
  • Energy, initiative and a real hunger to achieve.
  • Confidence picking up the phone and generating your own opportunities.
  • The ability to work at pace, juggle competing demands and maintain attention to detail.
  • Resilience when things don’t go to plan and the drive to get straight back into it.
  • Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people.

An existing business network would be a strong advantage. Permanent recruitment experience is valuable, but we’re also keen to hear from proven salespeople ready to bring their skills into recruitment.


  • What’s on offer $65,000 base salary.
