Job Description

  • The Company My client is a well-established New Zealand business operating across distribution, logistics and technology services. With a strong presence in the market and continued growth across the business, they are focused on improving their systems, processes and financial reporting to support future growth. Based on the North Shore, this is a fast-paced business with an entrepreneurial culture and a close-knit finance team. The Role The primary role of the Management Accountant is to support the company's distribution business. You will be responsible for month-end reporting, financial analysis and helping ensure the business has the information it needs to make sound commercial decisions. It is a hands-on role where you will get involved in the detail, learn the business and develop your management accounting skills. Your responsibilities will include: Complete the month-end, including journals and financial analysis
  • Preparing accurate and timely financial reports
  • Assisting with budgets, forecasts and financial modelling
  • Investigating variances and identifying trends in the numbers
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc analysis and process improvements
  • Your Profile You will be organised, detail-oriented and someone who takes pride in producing accurate work. You enjoy working with numbers but are also interested in understanding what sits behind them and how they impact the wider business. For this role, you will be CA/CPA qualified or working towards your qualification, with some experience in management accounting and a desire to continue developing your skills.
