Job Description

Tradestaff Hamilton is looking for an experienced and hardworking Civil Construction Labourer to join a busy civil construction team in Hamilton Central. If you're reliable, physically fit, comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and have a solid background in civil construction, we want to hear from you!


Location: Hamilton Central, Hamilton Start date: ASAP Pay rate: $26–$30 per hour, with weekly pay


About the Role


You'll be working alongside an experienced civil construction team, assisting with a range of hands-on tasks to keep projects running smoothly and safely.


Your duties will include:


  • Assisting with general civil construction and site preparation.
  • Digging trenches and carrying out manual excavation.
  • Loading, unloading and moving materials, tools and equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe worksite.
  • Assisting machinery operators and tradespeople with construction tasks and the installation of underground services.


What We're Looking For


  • Proven experience working on civil construction sites is essential.
  • Physically fit, hardworking and reliable.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • A valid driver's licence is required.
  • Class 2 licence and WTR endorsements are advantageous but not necessary.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in and support the team.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
