McEwan Haulage is a family-owned transport and earthworks company operating across the South Island since 2012. We work with some of New Zealand's most respected companies and have built a reputation for getting the job done safely, professionally and on time.


We're currently looking for an experienced Class 5 Cartage Driver to join our team, with the truck and trailer unit based out of Temuka.


If you're a reliable and experienced operator who takes pride in your gear, drives professionally and understands the demands of cartage work, we'd like to hear from you.


About the Role:


  • Class 5 cartage work operating a truck and trailer unit
  • Full-time, ongoing employment
  • Unit based in Temuka
  • Local Timaru / Temuka work with regional South Island travel as required
  • Safe and efficient loading, transport and delivery
  • Taking pride in the presentation and care of your vehicle


What We're Looking For:


  • Full NZ Class 5 Driver Licence
  • Proven Class 5 cartage experience
  • Clean driving record with no recent violations
  • Confidence working independently and managing daily runs
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Comfortable using basic digital systems
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
