We're seeking an experienced Surfacing Foreperson to lead a high-performing crew delivering asphalt, chipseal, paving, reseal and road maintenance projects. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, supporting their team, operating plant when required, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.


About the Role

As Surfacing Foreperson, you'll oversee daily surfacing operations, coordinate crews, manage resources, and maintain strong safety and quality standards across a range of civil infrastructure projects. Working closely with supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, and clients, you'll play a key role in delivering projects on time and exceeding customer expectations.

Duties

  • Lead and coordinate surfacing crews onsite
  • Plan daily work programmes and allocate resources
  • Operate surfacing plant and equipment as required
  • Monitor productivity, quality and project outcomes
  • Promote and enforce health and safety standards

Skills & Experience

  • Surfacing, asphalt or road maintenance experience
  • Proven leadership experience in civil construction
  • Strong planning and problem-solving ability
  • Class 2 Licence and WTR endorsement required
  • Class 4 Licence advantageous
