Class 2 Driver / Labourer

We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 Driver / Labourer for a long-term temporary assignment with one of our civil construction clients. This varied, hands-on role combines driving duties with general site work to support civil construction crews in a variety of project types.


What you'll be doing

  • Driving Class 2 vehicles safely to and from worksites
  • Transporting materials, tools and equipment
  • Assisting crews with site preparation, general civil labouring and construction tasks.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and keeping equipment tidy
  • Following site health and safety requirements
  • Working alongside the crew to keep projects moving efficiently


What we're looking for

  • A current New Zealand Class 2 driver licence
  • Experience in civil construction, earthworks or a similar environment is preferred
  • A good level of physical fitness and willingness to work on the ground with teams as well as driving
  • A strong work ethic, reliability and a positive attitude
  • Confidence working safely around vehicles, machinery and other people
  • The ability to pass pre-employment checks, including a drug and alcohol test
