The Company


Alexander Knight is partnering with our client to recruit a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join their Wellington region team.

The Role


You will be responsible for managing civil engineering projects end-to-end, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful project delivery. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors while providing expert engineering advice and support.

  • Design and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments
  • Analyse data and prepare detailed engineering plans and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with relevant NZ standards and regulations
  • Provide technical support and advice to project teams and stakeholders
  • Oversee construction works, ensuring quality control and programme adherence

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (NZ recognised)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ civil engineering experience, preferably in New Zealand
  • Experience with 12d (beneficial, not essential)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Full NZ driver licence
  • NZ working rights
