About Us


Access Specialties is a proudly Kiwi-owned company with over 30 years of experience repairing, servicing and rebuilding Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs). We work with leading equipment brands and support customers across New Zealand, including the fire and power sectors.


With a growing team of over 40 skilled professionals, we're looking for a motivated EWP Field Technician to support our customers throughout Taranaki.


The Role


This is a varied, hands-on role, primarily on the road, servicing and repairing EWPs at customer sites, workshops and yards. You'll work independently while supported by our experienced service team.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Carrying out routine maintenance and servicing
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
  • Completing safety and compliance checks within your qualifications
  • Providing onsite technical support and breakdown assistance
  • Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation
  • Managing your parts, tools and field equipment


What We're Looking For:


  • Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge
  • Practical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience in EWP, forklift, auto electrical, hydraulic or automotive servicing
  • EWP experience and CBIP certification or Registered Inspector qualifications would be ideal
  • Clear communication and a customer-focused approach
  • The ability to work independently and organise your workload
  • Reliability, attention to detail and a commitment to safe, quality workmanship
  • A full, current driver's licence

Hours: Monday to Friday, with start and finish times to be confirmed to accommodate 45 paid hours per week. Occasional Saturday work may be required.
