Position Title


Class 2 Driver


Position Summary


We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, equipment, and materials while ensuring compliance with all road transport regulations and company policies.


Key Responsibilities


  • Operate Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload goods in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Deliver products to customers and sites on schedule.
  • Complete delivery documentation, logbooks, and paperwork accurately.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers and clients.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and traffic regulations.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean and presentable.
  • Assist with general labouring, warehousing, or site duties when required.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers.


Skills and Experience


  • Current NZ Class 2 Driver Licence.
  • Clean driving record preferred.
  • Previous driving or delivery experience advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations.
  • Ability to manage delivery schedules and time effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.

Essential Requirements


  • Hold a valid NZ Class 2 driver's licence.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Reliable transport to and from work.
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand.
  • Health and safety conscious attitude.


Desirable Qualifications


  • Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR).
  • Forklift certification.
  • DG (Dangerous Goods) endorsement.
  • Site Safe or ConstructSafe certification.
