Guide Families Toward Harmony: Become a Parenting Through Separation Programme Facilitator


'Parenting Through Separation' is a free informative programme to help parents focus on their children when separating and encourage them to make good parenting decisions where the children’s needs are paramount.


We are looking for a dynamic individual to facilitate the Ministry of Justice programme to small groups of parents from our Christchurch office and/or online via Zoom.


This permanent part-time role is 6 hours per fortnight, with additional hours regularly available.


In this role you will:


  • Facilitate 4 programmes per month - 3 on a Thursday and 1 across 2 Tuesdays
  • Ensure that the programme guidelines are adhered to at all times.
  • Contribute to the planning delivery.
  • You will be able to demonstrate:
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of supporting adult learning and child development.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and ages.
  • An understanding of the process of separation and the effects on families
  • Previous experience and understanding of a wide range of societal and familial structures (e.g. whānau, hapu, iwi, Pasifika).
