Job Description

Due to increased demand, we're looking for Class 2 and Class 4 Drivers to join our client's water infrastructure team in Palmerston North.


This is a hands-on role combining crew cab driving, heavy manual labour and civil construction work. You'll be working across various sites throughout the Manawatu, supporting essential water infrastructure projects including maintenance, repairs and upgrades.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Driving crew cab work vehicles between and around work sites
  • Assisting with water infrastructure construction, maintenance and repairs
  • Heavy manual labour including digging, lifting, shovelling and material handling
  • Supporting the installation and replacement of water pipes and valves
  • Spotting for machine operators and providing ground support
  • Operating basic construction equipment such as compactors and jackhammers
  • Assisting with site set-up, pack-down and general site clean-up
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Following all site health and safety requirements

What You'll Need:

  • Full NZ Class 2 or Class 4 Driver Licence
  • Previous driving experience
  • Comfortable completing heavy manual labour as part of your day-to-day work
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
  • Reliable, hardworking and safety-focused
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • WTR licence is a bonus
  • Previous civil, construction or water infrastructure experience is advantageous
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice check


Hours:

Monday to Friday | 7:00 am – 4:00 pm


Finish times may vary depending on project requirements.
