Yardperson / Storeperson


We’re looking for an experienced, energetic Yardperson / Storeperson to join a busy team in Central Dunedin. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, knows their way around a yard or warehouse, and takes pride in providing fast, friendly service to customers.

If you’ve already built some solid yard, warehouse or storeperson experience but are keen to keep learning and progress within an established business, this could be a great next step.


Location: Central Dunedin, Dunedin

Start date: Available now

Pay rate: $28–$30 per hour based on experience, with weekly pay


About the Role


You’ll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the yard, helping ensure stock is received, stored and dispatched accurately and efficiently. You’ll also be dealing directly with customers, so good communication and the ability to assist people promptly will be a key part of the role.


Key Responsibilities


  • Safely operate a forklift to load and unload products and put stock away efficiently.
  • Pick, pack and fulfil customer orders accurately and promptly.
  • Assist customers in a friendly, professional and speedy manner.
  • Prepare dispatch and transfer documentation accurately.
  • Complete cycle counts and stock checks, reporting discrepancies when required.
  • Keep the yard and work areas clean, organised and safe.
  • Work closely with the wider branch team to achieve daily operational targets.


What We’re Looking For


  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse or storeperson role.
  • Current OSH Forklift Certificate, with an F endorsement advantageous.
  • Full Class 1 driver’s licence for driving company vehicles.
  • Energetic, physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and working outdoors.
  • Confident communication skills and a strong customer-service focus.
  • Reliable, punctual and organised, with good attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude, commitment to safety and genuine willingness to learn and progress.
