Engineering Surveyor

Brisbane / Gold Coast /  Sunshine Coast

$100,000 - $150,000 + superannuation + Vehicle

Our client is a well-established civil construction and engineering organisation delivering major infrastructure and urban development projects across Queensland and New South Wales.


With a strong reputation for quality delivery and long-term relationships, they are known for providing practical, high-performing solutions on complex projects.


The Role


Due to continued growth, our client is seeking Engineering Surveyors to support the delivery of civil construction projects across the South East Queensland.


They have roles available in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.


The Engineering Surveyor is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of survey services on site, ensuring accurate set-out, reliable data capture, and effective support to construction and project teams.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Delivering engineering survey services across civil construction projects
  • Liaising with Project Managers and the Survey Manager to ensure successful project delivery
  • Checking and verifying works on site to ensure compliance with survey specifications
  • Providing surveying support for design, construction, and monitoring activities
  • Completing accurate machine control set-up and design validation
  • Using 12d for modelling, design validation, and outputs
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, technical quality, and operational efficiency initiatives


About You


To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:


  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in surveying within civil construction, including road and earthworks projects
  • A solid understanding of surveying principles, methodologies, and best practices for civil projects
  • Proven experience delivering field survey tasks on active worksites, including set-out, data capture, as-builts, and QA/QC
  • Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage your workload and prioritise tasks across multiple work fronts
  • Confidence interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and digital models
  • Experience using Trimble Access, Trimble Business Center (TBC), AutoCAD, and 12d
  • High computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint)
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and construction teams
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills


Qualifications & Requirements


  • TAFE Surveying Certificate III, Undergraduate Certificate of Surveying, or equivalent (minimum)
  • Certificate IV, Associate Degree, or Bachelor of Surveying (desirable)
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • White Card - Construction Industry General Induction
  • TBC and 12d certification or equivalent experience (desirable)
  • UAV / drone accreditation (RePL) (desirable)
  • First Aid & CPR certification (desirable)
