About the role


Our market leading Projects and Real Estate department is looking for a lawyer to join our Auckland Property team.


We are seeking a talented Property Lawyer with 2–6 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our highly regarded property and projects team. This role offers exposure to significant and varied commercial property work, including acquisitions and disposals, leasing, property finance, and large-scale development projects, for a range of national and international clients.


You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers while maintaining meaningful client contact and responsibility for key aspects of transactions.


We have a friendly and supportive team, and we are after a team player to join us who is conscientious, a quick learner, and is keen to be part of our successful national projects and real estate practice.


Experience, skills and qualifications


The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:


  • 2-6 years of relevant post-qualification experience in commercial property / real estate law
  • Qualified to practise in New Zealand , or eligible for admission
  • Advising clients on commercial property acquisitions and disposals
  • Drafting and negotiating leases, agreements for lease, and development documentation
  • Supporting property aspects of corporate and finance transactions
  • Conducting due diligence and managing settlement processes
  • Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders
