Commercial Carpenter


Tradestaff is looking for an experienced, trade-qualified Commercial Carpenter to join a reputable commercial building company in Dunedin. This is a great opportunity for a skilled carpenter looking to get stuck into quality commercial construction work, with the potential for ongoing opportunities.


Location: Dunedin Central, Dunedin

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $33–$36 per hour, paid weekly


  • What You'll Be DoingCommercial framing and structural carpentry
  • Formwork and concrete-related carpentry
  • Interior fit-outs and finishing work
  • Installing doors, hardware, fixtures and fittings
  • Reading and working from construction plans and specifications
  • Measuring, cutting and installing building components
  • Coordinating with site managers and other trades while maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety
  • What We're Looking ForNZ-qualified Carpenter or overseas-qualified Carpenter with a recognised trade qualification and relevant commercial construction experience
  • Proven commercial construction experience and strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Own tools and reliable transport
  • Full, clean NZ Driver Licence, with the ability to drive company work vehicles when required
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  • Reliable, punctual and professional with strong health and safety awareness
