Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Distribution Supervisor to lead field crews delivering electrical distribution and infrastructure projects across Canterbury .


In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance, construction, fault response, and project work while supporting a high-performing team of Linespeople, Cable Jointers, Technicians, and Electrical Fitters.


About the Role


  • Lead and supervise distribution field crews across multiple work sites
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
  • Coordinate daily operations, resources, contractors, and equipment
  • Support the delivery of maintenance, capital works, and network projects
  • Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
  • Champion a strong health, safety, quality, and environmental culture


About You


  • NZ Electrical Registration
  • Proven experience in electricity distribution, utilities, or power infrastructure
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Sound knowledge of industry safety requirements and compliance standards
  • Experience coordinating field-based teams and contractors
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence
