Looking for extra hours? We’re on the lookout for experienced Traffic Management Workers to support our Christchurch teams as the season gets busier!


This is a casual, on-call opportunity, ideal for those already working in the industry who want to pick up extra shifts alongside their current commitments.


With a variety of assignments available, flexibility and availability for short-notice work are key.


About the Role


You’ll be helping keep Christchurch roads safe by supporting traffic management operations across various sites. Your main responsibilities will include:


  • Setting up and packing down traffic management signs and equipment
  • Directing and monitoring traffic and pedestrians
  • Following Traffic Management Plans and site-specific instructions
  • Working safely and professionally alongside the wider crew


What You’ll Bring


  • Minimum current TTM-W qualification with practical, hands-on traffic management experience
  • Previous experience working on traffic management sites
  • Minimum NZ Class 1 Restricted Licence; Class 2 is an advantage
  • Ideally confident driving a manual vehicle
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions
  • Flexible availability for on-call work, including short-notice assignments, day or night, rain or shine


Applicants must have valid NZ working rights, be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and meet criminal history requirements, including no relevant convictions within the last seven years.
