Farmhands is a Christchurch based recruitment company. Our client, Scottfresh, is seeking a Storeperson. Scottfresh produces supermarket ready vegetables and salad crops for the New Zealand market.


As a Storeperson you can help us produce healthy food for New Zealanders everyday!


Job details:


  • Immediate start available.
  • Full Time, permanent role. 40-60 hours per week.
  • Day shift, Monday - Friday and every second Saturday.
  • $25 - $30 per hour.
  • Accommodation is available.
  • Based at 2 farms, Claverley Beach and Spotswood.
  • This role is an entry level position and full training will be provided.
  • This job gives you the opportunity to live and work in North Canterbury. Enjoy the stunning coastal scenery with great hunting, fishing, tramping and camping right on your doorstep!


Daily tasks:


  • The job involves driving forklifts, wrapping pallets, labelling crates and talking to customers and transport companies.
  • Check quality of produce and maintain standards.
  • Work alongside the Dispatch Manager in a team of 2 to 3 people
  • Calculate daily harvest totals, write dispatch dockets and prepare daily stocktakes.


About you:


  • You are able to work unsupervised.
  • You are a confident communicator, the role involves speaking to logistics companies, harvest teams and management.
  • You can handle pressure. The role can be very busy, with multiple trucks arriving at the same time.
  • Previous experience and forklift licenses are not required for the role.
