Benchmark Construction, a reputable and established business with a workforce of approximately 65 employees, has been in the civil construction sector for over 40 years. Specialising in earthworks, drainage, and road construction, our operations span Central Otago and the Queenstown Lakes District. We pride ourselves on our stability, success, and strong industry reputation.


With secure workloads ahead, we're looking to add skilled staff to our team with experience in drainlaying, pipelines and infrastructure, and/or water reticulation.


Our current projects are located in Queenstown, Wanaka and Alexandra, with the majority of our work involving land development and three waters infrastructure.

  • Time and a half overtime rates after 8 hours

Our successful applicant will have:


  • Civil construction experience, ideally in drainlaying, pipeline installation, infrastructure and/or water reticulation
  • A strong work ethic and a highly motivated attitude
  • A full Class 1 driver's licence; additional licence classes and endorsements will be beneficial (WTR and Class 4)
  • A good level of physical fitness and the ability to undertake hands-on construction work
  • A focus on and commitment to quality workmanship
  • A strong commitment to working safely and protecting yourself and your workmates
