ABOUT THE COMPANY


Our client is a reputable Freight Forwarder with 25 years of experience. They specialise in Import, Export, and coastal Sea Freight cargoes (FCL & LCL), Warehousing and distribution, and Customs Brokerage services. They have three operational offices across the country, with Christchurch as their head office


ABOUT THE ROLE


The role reports into the Managing Director and is a crucial role for the business. The role will be a hands on role supporting two other team members with the intention of growing the team size after the role is filled. You will be achieving outstanding results for the business. You will be an engaging leader and lead from the front.


ABOUT YOU


  • Our ideal candidate will already be in a similar role and be well expereinced across both Import and Exports. You will likely be someone who has the below skills: Previous Management/Leadership experience in the freight forwarding industry
  • EDI Cargowise experience preferred but not essential
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Thinks outside the box and will use your initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • A team player with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication; verbal & written
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Pro-active and resourceful
  • Must be able to take ownership
  • Must be professional, well mannered and have a sense of humour
