Are you a customer service expert looking for a reliable weekend role in a fun, supportive, and award-winning team?

We're looking for a passionate, customer-focused Part-Time Retail Team Member to join our Sydenham store with an immediate start.


HOURS & SCHEDULE


Perfect for someone seeking reliable weekend work year-round, with the willingness to pick up extra shifts during peak summer months, and occasional opportunities to cover staff leave as needed (by mutual agreement):


  • Swim Season: Saturday 9:00am-4:00pm & Sunday 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Off Season: Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm only
  • Extra Hours: Additional weekday/leave cover hours available to support periods of increased workload.


WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE


At Poolwerx, we ensure every customer has a stellar experience the moment they walk through our doors. As part of our retail team, your primary role will be helping pool and spa owners keep their water crystal clear:


  • Computerised Water Testing: Test pool and spa water samples using state-of-the-art testing equipment, analyse the results, and provide the products customers need to maintain a sparkling, healthy pool.
  • Customer Service & Sales: Provide genuine advice, guide customers to the right chemicals and equipment, up-sell products where appropriate, and process sales smoothly.
  • Showroom Presentation: Keep our showroom, displays, and shelves fully stocked, clean, and looking top-tier.
  • Store Operations: Assist with stock processing, basic admin duties, and light store/garden/warehouse maintenance.


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:


  • A People Person: A natural communicator with a strong phone manner and an upbeat "can-do" attitude.
  • Sole Charge Confidence: Once fully trained, you'll need to feel comfortable operating the retail store independently and dealing with a wide variety of customers.
  • Experience & Interest: Previous retail or customer service experience is essential. Knowledge of pools, spas, or basic chemistry is a bonus!
  • Physically Fit: You will be required to carry salt and chemical bags in the warehouse and assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles.
  • Reliability: Trustworthy, punctual, and team-oriented.


(Full comprehensive training will be provided to get you up to speed with our products and equipment).
