Job Description

Dudleys Nail Bar is a busy, high-end nail salon in the heart of Remuera, and we’re looking for a friendly, confident and super switched-on person to join our amazing team!


This isn’t your average reception job. Our Front of House team is a huge part of the Dudley’s experience, you’ll be the first person our clients see when they walk through the door and help make sure the salon runs seamlessly throughout the day alongside the salon manager who is busy doing the best nails in town.


We’re looking for someone who is naturally warm and bubbly, loves chatting to people and is a forward thinker, someone who notices what needs doing before they’re asked and genuinely enjoys keeping things organised.


A big part of the role is our drinks service. Dudleys is a fully licensed salon, with a small drinks menu including a few easy to make cocktails, prosecco, beer, pre bitoics sodas, coffee/teas and more. We want someone who can confidently recommend and upsell drinks, keep an eye on clients throughout their appointments and make the whole experience feel that little bit more special.


What you’ll be doing:


- Welcoming clients and creating an amazing first impression

- Managing bookings, phone calls, messages and client enquiries

- Making and serving drinks from our small drinks menu

- Confidently recommending and upselling drinks

- Taking payments and rebooking clients

- Keeping an eye on the salon flow and helping appointments run smoothly

- Supporting the nail technicians throughout the day

- Helping with stock, general organisation and day-to-day salon operations

- Thinking ahead and spotting what needs to be done without always needing direction


Who we’re looking for:


You don’t need salon experience, personality and attitude are much more important to us. We’d love someone who is friendly, confident, organised, reliable and proactive, with great people skills and a bit of initiative.


Hospitality, retail, reception or customer service experience would be a huge bonus, particularly if you’re comfortable with customers.


Most importantly, we want someone who genuinely enjoys people, works well in a team and understands the level of service expected in a premium environment.


We currently have opportunities ranging from a Front of House role through to a Salon Coordinator position for someone wanting more responsibility and involvement in the day-to-day running of the salon.

Pay starts from $28 per hour, depending on experience and the level of responsibility within the role. There is potential for regular ongoing hours, with some weekend availability required.
