Job Description

  • The Company This is a well-established New Zealand business with a strong nationwide presence and a reputation built over more than a century in their industry. Following a recent change of ownership, the business is entering an exciting new chapter with fresh investment and a clear growth agenda. The finance function is being reshaped from the ground up, and this role sits right at the heart of that. You will report to a Finance Manager who is experienced, genuinely supportive, and committed to building a team that is developed and retained for the long term. The Role This is a genuinely varied, blended position with real ownership across the finance function. You will work closely with a fellow FA, partner with operational leaders across the business, and play a key role in an upcoming system implementation as the business continues to evolve. Month-end close including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and journals
  • GST and FBT returns
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Business partnering with branch managers and operational leaders
  • Audit support
  • System implementation involvement with a key go-to role post go-live
  • About You You do not need to have done everything before, but you do need to be smart, hungry, and someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do. Specifically, we are looking for: CA/CPA qualified or working towards preferred
  • Strong month-end fundamentals journals, reconciliations, GST, FBT
  • A natural communicator who is comfortable partnering with non-finance people
  • Resilient and adaptable, you thrive when there is a lot going on, not the opposite
