Job Description

BestStart is looking for caring and committed Reliever Caregivers to join our team across Waiuku (Franklin) including BestStart centres: BestStart Waiuku, BestStart Puni Road, BestStart Pukekohe West, BestStart Dublin Street, BestStart Paerata Rise and BestStart Bremner Road.Our relievers play an essential role in supporting our teams and ensuring Tamariki receive the best care and learning experiences every day. Each centre offers a welcoming, supportive environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of young learners.


As a Reliever Caregiver, you will:


  • Support permanent staff with daily classroom routines
  • Care for, guide, and engage with Tamariki
  • Take initiative and contribute to a positive learning environment
  • Enjoy variety—no two days are the same, as you may work across multiple centres


What we’re looking for:


  • Passion for working with young children
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a proactive attitude
  • A caring, respectful, and fun-loving nature
  • Ability to adapt and work as part of a supportive team


We’re especially looking for Relievers who are available to pick up shifts regularly across all of our Waiuku/Franklin centres – giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships while keeping each day fresh and different.
