The Venue

At Amano we are passionate about delivering rustic, Italian-inspired fare with a focus on provenance. Our backbone is seasonal, sustainable and local produce from New Zealand growers and farmers. Simply prepared, humbly served food connected to its origin served in a relaxed space that lets you enjoy on your terms. Find us on the dazzling Waitemata Harbour. The space spans Britomart’s historic Altrans and Quay buildings. Our bakery and restaurant are now part of the rich history of this beautiful site.


The Opportunity

Amano has an opportunity for a passionate Bartender to join our team. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience as a bartender in a comparable venue, a love for people and hospitality, good knowledge of wine and experience making cocktails, ability to work nights and weekends, and the desire to be part of a team with the drive to help it succeed!


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Creating exceptional experiences for our guests
  • Preparing and serving beverages such as wine, beer and cocktails while demonstrating sound knowledge of our offerings
  • Ensuring stock management including, wastage, display and storage
  • Upselling through the knowledge of our products, and creating an engaged and authentic rapport with guests
