Job Description

The team at Trade Assist are on the lookout for an experienced Hammerhand / apprentice builder to join our team working on various commercial and residential projects across Canterbury. If you're experienced, motivated, and looking for your next challenge, we’d love to have you on board.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including timber/metal stud framing
  • Formwork
  • Installation of cladding and fixtures.
  • Work effectively with your team, communicating clearly to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

To Be Successful:


  • Previous experience working as a Hammerhand/apprentice
  • Problem solving skills and attention for detail
  • Your own reliable transport
  • Your own basic toolbelt
  • Site Safe is advantageous but not essential


Please note - It is a requirement that applicants are able to provide a clean drug and alcohol test result before commencing work with us
