We're looking for a relationship-focused Recruitment Consultant to help source, engage and place great candidates across Trades, Operations, Technical and Professional roles.


About the role

You'll play a key role in attracting and engaging candidates, building strong talent pools and connecting people with the right roles across our client network in Dunedin and surrounding districts. Working alongside experienced consultants and leaders, you'll help deliver quality resourcing solutions through both the OneStaff and Magnetic brands.


Your focus will be on candidate attraction, maintaining talent pools, supporting placements and engagement, with plenty of opportunity to develop your market knowledge and recruitment expertise.


What you'll be doing

  • Source and attract candidates through job boards, databases, social media, referrals and networking.
  • Interview and assess candidates to understand their skills, experience and career goals.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate relationships and talent pipelines across multiple industries.
  • Match candidates to suitable vacancies, coordinate interviews and support placements and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and ensure recruitment, employment and Health & Safety processes are followed.


What you'll bring

  • Experience in recruitment, talent sourcing, talent acquisition or a similar people-focused role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage people from diverse backgrounds.
  • A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Good attention to detail and confidence using databases, CRM systems and everyday technology.
  • A genuine interest in understanding people, identifying talent and connecting candidates with the right work.


Experience across multiple industries, social sourcing and high-volume recruitment will be an advantage. Familiarity with the New Zealand employment and labour market is desirable. A current NZ Class 1 driver's licence is highly regarded.
