We are seeking high-energy individuals to join us for the summer.  Our Work Placement Program will run from November 2026 until February 2027 and is a fantastic opportunity for you to experience what a career in local government could be like!


This exciting opportunity is in our Parks & Open Spaces team.  The Kaupapa of this team is to manage Rotorua Lakes Council’s network of parks and reserves and the assets in them to provide opportunities for play, active recreation and sport in the community and protect cultural, ecological and heritage values.


Please view attached position description for more specific objectives, activities and work plan.  If successful, you will work within a supportive team gaining hands-on experience and contributing towards various and diverse projects – plus you’ll be lucky enough to learn from some of our best and brightest leaders.
