Job Description

At Trade Assist, we're looking for a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our client's team in Cromwell.


This is a great opportunity for someone looking for stable, Monday-to-Friday work with the potential to secure a permanent position. The role is expected to start in October and offers a genuine long-term pathway for the right person.


If you have previous Hiab experience, this would be highly advantageous, although we're also interested in speaking with strong Class 2 Drivers who are keen to develop their skills.


What You'll Be Doing


  • Safely operating a Class 2 vehicle
  • Completing local deliveries and collections
  • Loading and unloading goods
  • Operating Hiab equipment where required
  • Ensuring loads are secured and transported safely
  • Completing daily vehicle safety checks
  • Maintaining accurate delivery documentation
  • Providing professional customer service
  • Following all Health & Safety and road transport requirements
  • General driving and delivery duties as required


What we're looking for:


  • Holds a current Class 2 NZ Driver Licence
  • Has previous commercial driving experience
  • Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Hiab experience is highly desirable
  • Comfortable completing basic vehicle checks and paperwork
