David Jones Motors is Whanganui's Largest motor vehicle dealer.


We are currently looking for a reliable #Vehicle Groomer to join our team.


If you take pride in your work, have a great eye for detail and love seeing a vehicle transformed from good to showroom-ready, this could be the role for you.


As a Vehicle Groomer, you'll play an important role in ensuring our new and used vehicles are presented to the highest standard for our customers.


About the Role


Working as part of our dealership team, you'll be responsible for preparing vehicles for display, photography, customer delivery and sale.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Washing, cleaning and detailing vehicles to a high standard
  • Interior vacuuming, cleaning and presentation
  • Exterior washing, polishing and finishing
  • Cleaning windows, wheels, tyres and other vehicle surfaces
  • Preparing vehicles for showroom and display presentation
  • Ensuring vehicles are customer-ready for delivery
  • Maintaining high standards across all vehicles
  • Moving vehicles around the dealership and detailing area as required
  • Keeping equipment and work areas clean, organised and safe
  • Carrying out other general dealership duties as required


About You


We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and takes genuine pride in their work.


You'll ideally have:


  • Previous vehicle grooming, detailing or automotive experience
  • A strong eye for detail and high standards of presentation
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Good time management and the ability to work efficiently
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A reliable and professional approach to work
  • A current full manual driver's licence
  • A genuine interest in cars and vehicle presentation


Experience is preferred, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
