Surveyor, Brisbane (hybrid home/site work)

$45-$65 per hour + Super + 4x4 Hilux


The Company


Our client is growing and is looking for an experienced Surveyor to join their South East Queensland team.


With multiple new projects secured across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan and surrounding regions, this is a strong opportunity for surveyors who want variety, stability and excellent earning potential alongside home working.


They are an established Queensland surveying business with a team of around 20, including a strong field crew and experienced surveyors across the business.


They have built a strong reputation across civil and cadastral surveying and work with a regular client base across construction, civil infrastructure and development projects.


This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected surveying business that has secured long-term project work across South East Queensland. You will have access to varied projects from urban developments to water treatment plants, water mains, concrete set-outs, building and civil projects.

  • Full-time role with 38 standard hours per week and the opportunity to average around 45 hours when project demand requires, with additional hours available if desired

The Role


  • You will work across a mix of field and office-based surveying duties, supporting a range of civil, construction and cadastral projects for their established client base.
  • Depending on your experience, you may be involved in one-person robotic surveying, detailed surveys, machine guidance support, set-outs, water infrastructure projects, subdivision work and other project-based surveying tasks.


About You


This role would suit a practical, reliable and self-motivated Surveyor who enjoys working across a broad range of projects, including civil construction, building setouts, water treatment plants, water mains, concrete set-outs, detailed surveys and high-accuracy work.


  • 4 years plus surveying experience
  • Tertiary surveying qualifications or looking to study
  • Experience with a variety of survey work
  • 12d field and office
  • AutoCAD
  • Experience with Leica total stations, survey instruments, GNSS, Laser scanning, Machine guidance model creation and support Agisoft, Remotely piloted aircraft / UAV surveying desirable but not essential
  • High-accuracy construction set-out and detailed survey work
  • A reliable Surveyor with a strong work ethic and pride in accurate work
  • Someone who can work independently in the field while still being part of a wider team
  • A practical communicator who can deal professionally with clients, contractors and site teams
  • Committed to a long term survey career
  • Australian or New Zealand experience preferred
  • Legal right to work in Australia
  • Full open driver licence essential
