Lead two commercial Auckland projects as Senior QS, owning commercial delivery and helping grow the business's commercial capability.

Our client is a growing construction business looking to strengthen its commercial team. They're seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to take on two key projects and help build the business's commercial capability.

  • Lead quantity surveying and commercial management across two substantial projects from inception through to completion
  • Permanent role with scope to expand responsibilities as the business grows
  • Client-facing commercial negotiations and open-book project management in a collaborative, hands-on environment

Preferred Requirements

  • Solid quantity surveying expertise with the ability to manage commercial aspects of projects independently
  • Proven commercial leadership and the confidence to negotiate with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and experience managing project budgets and variations
  • Ability to work client-facing and communicate commercial decisions clearly
  • A generalist mindset-comfortable learning across different project types and growing your skillset as the business evolves

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional experience
  • Membership with a recognised professional body (NZIQS or similar) is advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial aspects of construction projects valued at significant scale
