Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join a specialist maintenance team based at one of Auckland's critical wastewater treatment facilities.


About the role


You'll play a key role in ensuring instrumentation and control systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The role involves testing, calibrating, fault-finding, installing, and maintaining a wide range of instrumentation, monitoring equipment, and process control systems.


To be successful in this role, you'll have:


  • A National Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and Control Level 4 (or equivalent)
  • Electrical Registration or an Electrical Service Technician (EST) (Avantageous)
  • Strong experience working with instrumentation, process control, and automation systems
  • Sound knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS platforms within an industrial or continuous process environment
  • Excellent fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a technical team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing workloads
  • A high level of attention to detail and commitment to health and safety
