Job Description

Mō te tūranga | About the role

You’re not just here to keep the boxes ticked. In this role, you’ll lead environmental activity across the full project lifecycle, from tender support and early planning through to delivery and close-out.

As Environmental Manager, you’ll be the key point of contact for environmental leadership, advice and support across the business, our clients and our people. You’ll help shape good work that’s practical, compliant and built to last. This role reports to the Regional Safety Manager and leads a team.

If you like working side by side with operational teams, bringing clear thinking to complex challenges, and lifting performance without the corporate fluff, this could be your next move.

  • Lead environmental incident response, investigations and the sharing of lessons learned, while keeping stakeholders informed with a no surprises approach.
  • Coach, mentor and develop a team of environmental professionals while building capability across the wider business.

Ko wai mātou | About us

At Fulton Hogan, good work is about more than what we deliver. It’s how we show up, how we treat each other, and how we keep moving forward together. We’re not big on hierarchy or ego. We’re a flat, friendly team that backs good ideas, works side by side, and takes the work seriously, not ourselves.

This role sits in a business that values safety, respect, leadership, energy and effort. We’re looking for someone who brings strong technical capability, sound judgement and a practical, team-focused approach. Someone who can switch on when it counts, build trust with others, and help lift environmental performance across the region.
