Looking for a driving role that keeps you active and out on the road?

We’re looking for reliable and hardworking Class 4 Drivers to join a busy recycling operation servicing the Thames and Coromandel area.

This is a hands-on position combining driving with physical work throughout the day. You’ll be regularly getting in and out of the truck during your shift, so you’ll need to be physically fit, comfortable working outdoors and happy to get stuck in.

If you enjoy being on the road but don’t want to spend your entire day sitting behind the wheel, this could be a great fit.

About the Role

As a Class 4 Driver, you’ll be helping with recycling collection services throughout the Thames and Coromandel area.

Your day will involve driving a Class 4 vehicle as well as completing the physical tasks that come with the role. Reliability and a strong focus on safety are essential.

Your duties will include:

  • Driving Class 4 vehicles across the Thames and Coromandel area
  • Completing recycling collection runs
  • Regularly getting in and out of the truck throughout your shift
  • Carrying out physical, hands-on duties as part of the collection process
  • Following workplace and road safety requirements
  • Working efficiently to complete daily runs
  • Working alongside the wider team to keep operations running smoothly
  • Taking care when operating vehicles and working around members of the public

What We’re Looking For

We need drivers who are dependable, safety-conscious and prepared for the physical nature of the job.

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • A current Class 4 driver licence
  • To be physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role
  • The ability to regularly get in and out of a truck throughout the working day
  • Availability to work Monday through Saturday
  • A reliable and punctual approach to work
  • A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
  • A strong attitude toward workplace and road safety
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • A clean criminal background
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Availability for an immediate start

Previous driving, waste, recycling, transport or similar experience would be useful, but the most important things are having the right licence, being reliable and being comfortable with the physical requirements of the position.

Is This Role Right for You?

This position would suit someone who enjoys being out on the road, staying active and working in a practical environment. It’s important to know that this isn’t a role where you’ll simply be sitting in the cab all day. You’ll be in and out of the vehicle regularly, so you need to be prepared for an active working day.
