As Executive Manager, Strategy, you'll lead the development of IAG New Zealand's strategic direction, partnering closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board to shape the choices that drive long-term growth and competitive advantage. Combining deep market insight, commercial analysis and strategic thinking, you'll provide trusted advice to senior leaders, helping align divisional priorities with IAG's broader enterprise strategy and translate strategic priorities into outcomes that deliver meaningful customer and commercial value. This is a permanent full-time role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).


Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of IAG NZ's strategic direction, translating enterprise ambition into clear priorities and roadmaps.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations based on market trends, competitor analysis and internal performance.
  • Facilitate strategic planning workshops with senior executives, ensuring alignment between long term ambition, business planning and execution.
  • Challenge, test and strengthen strategic initiatives and business cases to maximise customer, commercial and organisational outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, acting as a trusted advisor on strategy and transformation.

  • Extensive experience leading strategy development in large corporate organisation or consulting firm.
  • Proven success developing and implementing enterprise or divisional strategies.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to navigate ambiguity, complexity and competing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of partnering with executive and board-level stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to translate market, economic, technological and competitive trends into actionable strategic insights.
