Job Description

San Won, part of Sanford’s business, is looking for a reliable Storeperson to join our logistics team in Timaru. Our team helps get quality New Zealand seafood to the world by safely storing and moving products from our vessels and processing plant.

Working Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm , you’ll support the storage, movement and loading of seafood products. This is a physical role involving forklift operation and manual stacking, so you’ll need to be reasonably fit and comfortable working in a cold environment.


What you'll be doing:

  • Safely operating forklifts and other equipment to move product to designated locations
  • Manually stacking and handling product
  • Supporting storage, loading and stock movement activities
  • Completing stock movements accurately and on time
  • Maintaining product quality, hygiene and cold chain standards
  • Reporting hazards, equipment issues and product quality concerns
  • Working with the wider logistics and operations teams to keep things running smoothly


What we're looking for:

You’ll be a dependable team player who enjoys practical work, follows instructions and takes pride in doing the job safely.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in logistics, warehousing or a similar environment
  • A Forklift Operator Certificate (FOC) is preferred
  • A reasonable level of fitness for manual stacking and product handling
  • Confidence working in a cold storage environment
  • Good attention to detail and time management
  • A positive attitude, clear communication and willingness to help your teammates
