At BDO Gisborne, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a diverse client base, with the support to grow in the areas that interest you most.


Where This Role Could Take You

  • Building strong relationships with clients across agribusiness, Māori business, and/or commercial sectors
  • Exploring the types of work and industries that align with your strengths and interests
  • Broadening your experience in financial statements, tax returns, and core accounting work
  • Building capability in advisory areas such as cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and practical client support
  • Shaping a career that is both practical and meaningful
  • Learning to work smarter using latest technology and AI

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years’ NZ public practice experience
  • Strong grounding in financial accounts preparation
  • Experience with Xero (FYI a bonus)
  • A people-first mindset — someone who enjoys working closely with clients
  • Curiosity, initiative, and an openness to build experience in different sectors
