We currently have exciting opportunities for full-time Sales Assistants to join our retail team in Whangarei at our Okara Drive store, with positions available in our Firearms and Fishing/Dive departments


This is a fantastic opportunity for energetic individuals with outstanding customer service skills and an interest in the great outdoors!


We pride ourselves on our strong product knowledge and genuine interest in all things sports, hunting, fishing, camping, diving and clothing. We need people who are enthusiastic about our products, enjoy learning about what we sell and can relate to our customers.


We are currently recruiting for two full-time Sales Assistant positions: one in our Firearms Department and one in our Fishing/Dive Department.


You will need to be able to display:


  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Confidence interacting with people from all walks of life
  • An interest in learning about our products and the activities we promote
  • A proactive and energetic approach to work
  • Reliability, a strong work ethic and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills


Our customers come to us for expert advice and top-of-the-range products, so you will need to be comfortable talking to people about the sports and hobbies they are passionate about.


Firearms Department: A current New Zealand firearms licence is essential for this position.


Both positions are full-time, working 38.5+ hours per week. Flexibility and weekend work are essential.
